Five proposals are presented to improve the efficiency of government spending on transportation in the United States. The cost of transit projects is three times higher than the global average, and has increased drastically since the 1960s. The proposals include reforming environmental laws, establishing a Regulation-Exempt Priority List, facilitating the privatization of airports, reducing bus costs, and improving the freight experience.
