Strengthening the EU’s transition towards a quantum-safe world.
In April 2025, CEPS created a Task Force to accelerate the EU’s transition to a quantum-safe world, bringing together private organizations, EU institutions, universities, and agencies. Technical, market, governance, and political challenges were highlighted, crucial in the face of emerging quantum computers capable of breaching current cryptographic systems. It is recommended to improve the preparation and awareness of European actors in the face of this urgent transformation.
