Is Ishiba’s career over? The curtain falls in Urne and Dazi
The government of Shigeru Ishiba loses majority in the elections, remaining in minority in both houses of the parliament. The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan is the main opposition, while the new party Sanseito gains ground with xenophobic messages. Ishiba’s defeat raises the possibility of his resignation and a crisis in the LDP.
