Young people have much to gain or lose in decision-making and the transformation of the educational system. Globally, students are rarely intentionally and significantly involved in the development and implementation of educational policies, school planning, and vision-setting. It is essential to center student voice in decision-making and leadership to benefit the entire community and the educational ecosystem. Mechanisms are needed to consult with young people in the development of national educational policies, promote intergenerational collaboration, and provide meaningful opportunities for students to reimagine.
