Youth participation opportunities in global education are scarce, despite being 41% of the population. It is vital to engage them actively in decision-making, break down barriers, and foster emotions and trust structures. Intergenerational partnerships are key to combating student disengagement and strengthening girls’ agency. It is essential to recognize youth diversity, honor their experiences and skills, ensure their safety and consent, compensate their expertise, co-create events with them, and consider a commitment to their needs.
