25 Years of EU-AU Tensions: Breaking the Cycle of Ineffective Summits
The relations between the EU and UA have been problematic for 25 years, with cyclical summits and euphoric declarations, but mistrust prevails. The 7th meeting of heads of state will be in Luanda on November 24-25. The summits focus on grandiose declarations, but do not address underlying tensions, so a more effective approach is needed to resolve disagreements and discuss association in a changing geopolitical context.
