The debate on university affordability is misguided in analyzing the returns of higher education. According to the Brown Center on Educational Policy, the returns on university education have not decreased and the cost of university has not increased in years. University graduates earn more and have greater job stability than those with only a high school diploma. Despite the general perception that the cost of university has increased, it has actually remained stable since the Great Recession.
