Gaza: Between Hopes and Illusions after the UN Resolution
The UN resolution for Gaza, approved with the Trump Plan, has not changed the situation on the ground. The ceasefire is fragile, Hamas remains armed and reconstruction is distant. The reality in Gaza is difficult: lack of physical progress, violence and insufficient humanitarian aid. The resolution proposes a transnational government to disarm Hamas and ensure reconstruction, but obstacles persist such as Hamas’s rejection and Israel’s stance against an independent Palestinian state.
